Muddy Moose — Dirtiest Dog of the Month
Official Contest Rules
1. Sponsor
The contest is sponsored by Muddy Moose LLC ("Muddy Moose").
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees of Muddy Moose and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
3. How to Enter
To enter, during the applicable monthly entry period:
- Post an original photo or video of your dog on Instagram showing your dog's dirtiest adventure.
- Follow @muddymoosedog.
- Tag @muddymoosedog in the post.
- Include #MuddyMooseDirtyDog in the caption.
- Include a brief description of the adventure.
The Instagram account must be public at the time of judging so the entry can be viewed.
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase the likelihood of winning.
4. Entry Period
Each monthly contest begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time on the first day of the month and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on the last day of that month.
5. Entry Requirements
Entries must:
- Be the entrant's original content.
- Feature a dog owned by or under the care of the entrant.
- Be suitable for public display.
- Not contain copyrighted material, trademarks, or other third-party content unless the entrant has permission to use it.
- Not contain dangerous, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Not depict intentionally harming, endangering, or distressing an animal.
Muddy Moose may disqualify entries that do not comply with these rules.
6. Judging
Entries will be judged by Muddy Moose based on the following criteria:
- Level of dirt/mess — 40%
- Adventure story — 30%
- Creativity of photo/video — 20%
- Overall Muddy Moose spirit — 10%
Judging will be conducted after the monthly entry period closes.
7. Winner
One winner will be selected each month.
The winner will be notified through Instagram direct message. If the selected entrant does not respond within 5 days, Muddy Moose may select an alternate winner.
Muddy Moose's judging decision is final with respect to the selection of the winner.
8. Prize
The monthly winner will receive a Muddy Moose prize package with an approximate retail value of $___.
Prize details may change from month to month and will be announced with each monthly contest.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
9. Content Permission
By entering, the entrant grants Muddy Moose permission to repost the submitted entry on Muddy Moose's social media channels and website for purposes related to the contest and promotion of Muddy Moose.
The entrant retains ownership of their original content.
10. Instagram Disclaimer
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.
By entering, participants release Instagram from responsibility for the promotion.
11. General Conditions
Muddy Moose reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these rules or that Muddy Moose reasonably believes is fraudulent, inappropriate, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the contest.
Muddy Moose may modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make it necessary.
12. Privacy
Information provided by entrants will be used to administer the contest and communicate with entrants as described in these rules. Muddy Moose will not sell entrant information to third parties.
